The Community College of Vermont and Vermont State University offer a variety of training and professional development opportunities statewide. Through the Vermont State Colleges system transformation, a goal for workforce development was that programs at the institutions could remain separate, but learners who enter them will be able to move throughout the system to access what they need. Workforce development programs support learners, employers, and the community as they seek courses, continuing education, licensure, industry-recognized credentials, customized training, and solutions to critical workforce needs in Vermont with an emphasis on addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives.
CCV
CCV offers credentialing and training opportunities at locations around the state and online. These programs have been designed from the ground up with input from Vermont employers on the skills and knowledge they’d like workers to be equipped with. At CCV, you can get credentialed, get trained, and get your next promotion. Additionally, CCV partners with the Vermont Department of Corrections to deliver the Corrections Post-Secondary Education Initiative.
