The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a system of interrelated surveys conducted annually by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Data pertaining to students, enrollment, graduation, tuition rates, degrees conferred, faculty and staff, and financial aid is collected from over 7,500 postsecondary education institutions throughout the United States. Data is used at the federal and state level for policy analysis and development, and by institutions for benchmarking and peer analysis. Much of it is also made available to the public on the NCES College Navigator website.
