Assessment of Prior Learning

At the Community College of Vermont, learning acquired through work or other non-college experiences may be submitted for college credit through the Assessment of Prior Learning (APL) course. Students describe and document their experiential learning in a portfolio, which is then reviewed for credit by a committee of faculty and professionals. The credit they recommend may be transferred to CCV and many other institutions in and outside of Vermont. Contact CCV's Office of External Programs (802-828-4064) for more information.
